Frequently Asked Questions
How can I access your full service list with prices?
You can easily view all of Shameless Waxing’s services and pricing by clicking any button that says “Book Now,” “View Services,” “Smooth Starts Here,” or “Ready to Get Smooth.” Everything is listed before you ever have to book!
Do you offer men’s waxing services?
I offer men’s waxing services above the hips and below the mid-thigh. If you’re already an established client, we can discuss bikini-area waxing — but only after booking and completing other services. This applies to all individuals with male anatomy.
Can I bring my child or a guest to my wax appointment?
Yes — children are welcome as long as they’re well-behaved and occupied during your service. Guests are also welcome to come along for emotional support or even just to observe if they’re curious about waxing. That’s free advertising!
How long does a Brazilian wax last?
On average, about 3–6 weeks. We recommend rebooking every 4 weeks for the smoothest results and easy upkeep.
Is it okay to get waxed during my period?
Yes, you can get waxed on your period as long as you wear a fresh tampon or cup. Just know that the area might feel slightly more sensitive during this time.
What’s the difference between a Brazilian wax and a bikini wax?
A Brazilian wax removes all, or most of the hair from the front, butt-strip, and everything in between. A Bikini Full wax does the same, but without the butt-strip. A Bikini Line wax focuses on the sides and maybe a finger or two off the top only — what would show in a standard swimsuit.
How do I prepare for my first wax appointment?
Let your hair grow to at least 1/4 inch (about the length of a grain of rice). Exfoliate 24 hours before, and skip caffeine the day of to help reduce sensitivity.
Does waxing hurt more than shaving?
Waxing can cause momentary discomfort, but it generally removes the hair from the root—so you stay smoother way longer than shaving.
Plus, it gets easier with consistency!
What type of wax do you use?
I use high-quality hard wax — no strips involved. It’s gentle on the skin and perfect for even the most sensitive areas like Brazilians, underarms, and the face.
Can I get a wax if I just shaved recently?
Not quite yet — your hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice) for the wax to grip properly. This is usually around 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving. The longer the better for your first time — it helps ensure a more effective wax and smoother results.
How should I care for my skin after waxing?
Keep the area clean, dry, and avoid heat, friction, and heavy workouts for the first 24–48 hours. I also recommend exfoliating regularly and moisturizing to help prevent ingrowns and keep your hair strong between appointments.
Do you offer vajacials or post-wax treatments?
Yes! I offer post-wax treatments like vajacials that are especially great for those prone to ingrown hairs. They soothe skin, reduce irritation, and help you get the smoothest, clearest finish possible.
How long should I wait between wax appointments?
Facial areas and underarms are typically rebooked every 2 weeks, but can sometimes be pushed to 3 weeks depending on hair growth. Most other body areas are best maintained on a 4-week schedule, but you can stretch to 5–6 weeks if needed.
What areas do you wax?
I offer full-body waxing for women and select areas for men. Common areas include Brazilians, underarms, stomach, full legs, arms, back, and facial waxing. You’ll see the full service list and pricing when you go to book.
Can I wax if I have sensitive skin?
Absolutely. I specialize in waxing for all skin types and use a high-quality hard wax that’s ideal for sensitive areas. If you’re unsure, we can go over your concerns before we get started.
